Let us build a society that observes the five precepts
Homage to the Blessed one,
The Worthy one,
The Perfectly Enlightened one,
The Five Precepts are the basic ethical guidelines of the teaching of the Buddha. They are not a rigid set of rules, but provide a practical basic for good living for householders.
I undertake the precept of refraining from destroying living beings.
I undertake the precept of refraining from taking, that which is not given. (stealing)
I undertake the precept of refraining from sexual misconduct.
I undertake the precept of refraining from false speech.
I undertake the precept of refraining from intoxicating drinks and drugs which lead to carelessness.
